Spring Fling - April 14, 2018 at 11 am
The Ventura County Democratic Party will host the Annual Spring Fling, which will feature the headline speaker, State Controller Betty Yee. Many other local office holders will be in attendance as will candidates running for a variety of offices. This will be an excellent opportunity to speak directly with them, as we prepare for the 2018 elections. The funds raised from this event will be used to fulfill our mission of turning Ventura County solidly blue from every corner of our county.

Keep It Blue - July 22, 2018 at 11 am
Once again, the Democratic Club of Ventura will be hosting the annual Keep It Blue event, where elected officials and democratic club members will come in preparation of the November election. More information to follow.

The Democratic Club of Ventura's inaugural summer fundraiser Sunday, June 30, had something for everyone! The sold out event's 210 attendees were greeted and checked in by a team of amazing volunteers and then joined a room full of energy and enthusiasm as community members and elected representatives met and discussed important issues.

Enthusiastic opening remarks and introductions by 2nd Vice Chair/Fundraising Chair Diana Sparagna and DCV President Matty Park started the program followed immediately by Master of Ceremonies, California State Democratic Party Chairman, Eric C. Bauman. Eric's dynamic personality kept the crowd entertained and the program moving. From Ventura Mayor Erik Nasarenko to our keynote speakers, Salud Carbajal and Julia Brownley the crowd stayed engaged and excited to be there.
CONGRATULATIONS TO AWARD RECIPIENTS!
DCV Awards Chair Carol Lindberg presented the Social Justice Award to Maricela Morales, Executive Director of Central Coast Alliance United for A Sustainable Economy (CAUSE) and the Environmental Award to co-recipients Diane Underhill Ventura Citizens for Hillside Preservation (VCHP) and Steve Bennett, Save Open Space and Agricultural Resources (SOAR).
The afternoon wrapped up with photo opportunities and more discussions on issues of importance by those in attendance.
